This is the book I go to when I want to enjoy playing the piano and/or want to practice sight reading. I’m ‘late intermediate’ so I don’t find heavy-duty challenge pieces in this book (I go to The BIg Book of Classic Music” for challenge pieces for challenge pieces). Pieces like “Moonlight Sonata” which is written in E Major with 4 sharps, but in this book, the piece is in F major with only a B flat – much easier to play. I also love the easy version of “Clair de Lune”. This book is loaded with many different pieces so it’s worth the money. And it’s spiral bound making it easy to open and stay open.

If you appreciate the great classic melodies, but your skill level is not up to the task of the originals, buy this book. With faithful harmonies, but never scored with more than two flats or sharps (and most in the keys of C,G, and F), this book gives you a chance to play the music you love.
